german open 2025
Dear participants of the Quooker PPP German Open 2025 in Oldenburg,
with this newsletter we are sending you further up-to-date information.
Entries and seeding lists for singles
The list below shows each player’s base class, how many points they have in the seeding list (the more, the better) and in which tournament class they are scheduled to play singles.
The base class is the class in which all participants have been placed based on their playing strength. It indicates the lowest tournament class in which a player can play in the singles, doubles and mixed competitions. A player can be upgraded in one or more competitions, i.e. start in a higher tournament class, but not in a lower one.
The current tournament class in singles can also be viewed via this link: https://www.mytischtennis.de/clicktt/TTVN/turnierkalender/turnier/668160/
If you select a tournament class in the ‘Teilnehmer’ column, you can see which participants want to start in this class.
All players who are currently registered in singles in tournament class 2 or 3 still have the option of deciding in favour of a higher class. They should then inform the tournament organiser Hilmar Heinrichmeyer (hmeyer@ttvn.de) by e-mail in which higher tournament class they wish to play in the singles. A higher registration in the singles does not change the base class.
Entries for doubles and mixed are now possible
As of today, all players can send their final entry for doubles and mixed to t@pingpongparkinson.de. Each player can play in doubles and mixed in their basic class above or in a higher tournament class. It should be noted that each pairing must always start in at least the tournament class that corresponds to the base class of the better of the two partners. Irrespective of this, each pairing can alternatively start in a higher tournament class in doubles or mixed.
We have decided to ignore the doubles and mixed teams registered in January because several players were also registered as doubles partners at that time who did not even make it into the field of participants. Therefore, every player is now required to take action, even if he or she has already indicated doubles and mixed partners in the original registration.
Each player should indicate with which partner he/she would like to play in doubles and mixed and in which tournament class this pairing would like to start.
If you do not yet have a partner, but would like to play doubles and/or mixed and would like the tournament organisers to assign you another free partner, please also indicate this: ‘please assign partner for doubles or mixed’.
If you do not yet have a partner but would like to play doubles and/or mixed and would like to look for a partner yourself, please also let us know: ‘I am looking for a partner for doubles or mixed’.
And if you do not want to play doubles or mixed, please report this as follows: ‘no start in doubles or mixed desired’.
Please register for the doubles and mixed by Sunday, 25 May 2025 if possible, so that we can make plans in good time. We will no longer accept registrations in the week before the tournament. This will only be possible on site on Wednesday at the accreditation or partner exchange (see next).
Double partner search exchange on 28.05.
During the accreditation on Wednesday, 28 May 2025 from 12:00 to 18:00 in the sports hall Diedrich-Dannemann-Str. 85 in Wardenburg there will also be a partner exchange for doubles and mixed. There you can find out who is still looking for a doubles or mixed partner and arrange and register new pairings with the available players.
Notes on accreditation
Accreditation will take place on 28 May 2025 from 12:00 to 18:00 in the Diedrich-Dannemann-Straße 85 sports hall in Wardenburg, contrary to the time stated in the last player info. Please use this time period. We would like to point out once again that accreditation on 29 May 2025 is only possible after prior registration at go@pingpongparkinson.de. It should be clear to everyone that it is impossible to accredit all participants on 29 May between 8.00 and 9.00 a.m. and we therefore ask you to use this option only in justified exceptional cases (e.g. arrival from the local area only on Thursday). Thank you for your understanding and co-operation!
Participant helpdesk
We have set up a helpdesk for the tournament. You can reach it 24/7 from 28 May 2025 at the following number +49 (0)15730634867. If you need help or are delayed, please call this number. This number can also be reached via WhatsApp. Please refrain from calling the organising team’s private mobile phone numbers during the event.
Ball brand changed
Contrary to the original information in the announcement, a different ball will be used at the Quooker PPP German Open 2025. The ball JOOLA *** Flash in white will be used.
